About me

Scent has been a passion of mine since 2008. It hasn't let go of me since. Again and again I learn new and fascinating facts about this very special human sense.

During my Master's degree in Nutritional Economics at the Christian-Albrechts-University in Kiel (2008-2010) I got in touch with the topic of smell. On the one hand, I attended lectures on food sensory analysis and on the other hand, I started working as a "sniffer" as part of the Odor Panel at Olfasense GmbH. After my graduation (2010) I continued to work there as a project manager. There I learned how to organize and carry out projects in the field of odor. At the same time I wrote my PhD thesis, which focused on visual and olfactory interaction in product perception.

After my doctorate, I joined the company as a senior consultant. I worked in sales, created test designs for measurements, trained client panels in the DACH region and was responsible for project evaluation and reporting.

​

Over time, I trained more and more client panels worldwide, spoke at conferences and represented Olfasense GmbH at many trade shows, so the position evolved more and more towards business development and sales. In 2019 I also took on the role of team leader for product and material testing.

 

As time went by, I felt the need for a new professional challenge. This desire grew stronger, so I took the step into independence in January 2023.
